Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Python to ensure quality and reliability of our software applications.
  • Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand software requirements and design appropriate test cases.
  • Identify and document test cases based on functional and nonfunctional requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and report them to the development team.
  • Participate in test plan reviews, test case reviews, and provide feedback to improve the test processes.
  • Work closely with the development team to reproduce and debug defects, and verify fixes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of automated testing processes into the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to automation testing and continuously improve testing practices.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with automation testing concepts and tools.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks like Selenium, PyTest, or Robot Framework.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web services (REST, SOAP).
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) would be a plus.
